Biography
Nina Gruschwitz now citizen of Germany was born in St. Petersburg, Russia went to school in Murmansk and obtained a Master Degree from Moscow’s Gubkin Academy.
Gruschwitz started her career as an artist in 1991 after she moved to Germany where she studied under acclaimed teacher and artist Margarita Budini. From 1994 till now she lived and worked in The Netherlands, The UK and Norway. London has been most successful for Gruschwitz.
In 2005 Gruschwitz began a tour to include DOM Cultural Centre for International Jazz Festival and The National Centre for Contemporary Art (NCCA) in Moscow, AAF Contemporary Art Fair in New York. Recently a series of her works have been selected to illustrate CD covers, music and poetry books.
In 2006 Nina Gruschwitz presented KINKY-KALINKI TRANSRUSSIAN EXPRESS, a 26 min debut documentary film about art, music and the club scene in London.
